Discover Pentecost 2024
What comes to mind when you hear the word “Pentecostal?” Most people think, “They’re the ones that talk in tongues.” Maybe you think about expressive, exuberant worship (those crazy people who dance in church). Maybe you think of we’re the “skirt and long hair” people. Perhaps you wonder if we handle snakes.
Regardless of what you’ve heard, we do not handle snakes. Also, you should know there’s no dress code to attend our services; you’re welcome to come in whatever you find comfortable. We’ll admit though…we are are certainly expressive in our worship. We believe we serve a living, vibrant God, and that we can experience Him in a meaningful way. We can testify about miracles we have experienced in our own lives, and when we think about those miracles, we are overwhelmed with joy that we just can’t hold inside!
And yes…we speak in a language we’ve never learned under the power of the Holy Ghost. It’s an amazing experience, and we believe it is available to anyone who wants it…just like it was on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2.
We invite you to join us May 19th as we celebrate the birth of the church on the Day of Pentecost. We invite you to be our guests and experience the power of the Holy Spirit. You won’t be forced to do anything that makes you uncomfortable, but you’ll have a chance to experience Jesus in a way you have never experienced Him before.
